Hrdlicka Apps LLC ("we," "us," "our") built WhisperKeep, and this policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
Only what you explicitly choose to share:
Nothing leaves your device automatically, and we have no server to send it to even if it did.
None, with one narrow exception: if your device or language isn't supported by Apple's on-device speech recognition, WhisperKeep may use WhisperKit, an open-source, on-device transcription library. It also runs entirely on your device and makes no network calls during transcription itself — only, on first use, to download its model files.
WhisperKeep offers a one-time Premium unlock and optional tip jar purchases, processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details — Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction. We only receive confirmation of what you purchased, which we use to unlock the corresponding features on your device.
WhisperKeep includes an optional, off-by-default feature that scans your entry text on-device for language associated with crisis or self-harm, in order to surface a crisis resource screen. This scan happens entirely on your device — no content, and no fact of whether it was triggered, is ever transmitted anywhere, including to us.
WhisperKeep is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — there is no collection to speak of, from any user.
Because we never receive, store, or have access to your personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your journal data lives only on your device (and, if you enable iCloud Backup, wherever your Apple ID keeps your device backups) — deleting the app deletes it.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the update.
